NEW HEALTH ENTRY CRITERIATH ENTRY CRITERIA
NEW HEAL
FOR B
FOR BULLDOGS, FRENCH BULLDOGS AND PUGSULLDOGS, FRENCH BULLDOGS AND PUGS
All Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs exceeding 14 calendar months on the first day of
the show must have a valid Respiratory Function Grading (RFG) Scheme assessment to
attend. This requirement is mandatory for entry into the show, not just individual classes.
1. VALID RFG SCHEME ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
To gain entry, all eligible Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs must present a valid
RFG Scheme certificate dated within the last 24 months of the first day of the show.
Dogs assessed as Grade 3 will be excluded and not allowed to enter or attend
the show.
2. CERTIFICATE UPLOAD AND VALIDATION
Exhibitors must upload their RFG Scheme certificate to their Fosse Data account,
including the expiry date and grade. The Kennel Club will validate and approve the
certificate; only after approval can you complete the entry process via the Fosse
Data website. These details will be stored in your Fosse Data account for future
reference. It is essential to complete this process before entry and early submission
is recommended to avoid delays.
3. EXEMPTIONS AND AGE REQUIREMENTS
3.1. Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs not exceeding 14 calendar months on the
first day of the show are exempt from needing an RFG Scheme assessment,
and a certificate is not required.
3.2. Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs aged 7 years or older on the first day of
the show do not need a valid RFG Scheme assessment; however, they must
have undergone at least one RFG Scheme assessment in their lifetime. The
corresponding certificate must be uploaded prior to entry, but it does not need to
be dated within the last 24 months.
4. OVERSEAS ASSESSMENTS
International RFG Scheme assessments conducted in licensed countries by approved
assessors will be accepted. Exhibitors must ensure that these certificates meet the
same standards as domestic entries. For a list of licensed countries, visit: Respiratory
Function Grading Scheme | Health | The Kennel Club or email: health@thekennelclub.
org.uk.
If available, all overseas exhibitors must upload an RFG Scheme certificate before
making their entry. If a certificate is not available, all overseas dogs must undergo an
RFG assessment before 7 March 2025. If a certificate is not uploaded prior to entry,
The Kennel Club will contact overseas exhibitors after entries close to arrange for an
assessment in advance of the show. Testing facilities will be provided at The Kennel
Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Coventry CV8 2LZ, on Wednesday, 5 March, and
Thursday, 6 March (The Kennel Club Building is approximately 30 minutes from the
NEC by car). Exhibitors should be aware that if a dog receives a Grade 3 assessment,
they will be required to withdraw from the competition and will not be allowed to enter
the show. To book an assessment, email: health@thekennelclub.org.uk.
